Peer Support is a helping relationship between individuals experiencing mental health issues based on respect, trust, and warmth. This helps people move in the direction of gaining skills and strength to make changes and decisions towards enhancing their lives. Activities may include going for walks, shopping, help with completing forms etc. At Arrowhead there are social outings and one-on-one hospital visits. Phoning to stay in touch and a buddy system as well as self help support groups are available at Arrowhead.
